Giacom’s partners to benefit from a single fully cloud-based communication solution.

Giacom, the customer-first cloud services distributor for IT companies, has signed an agreement with Gamma, a leading unified communications provider, to become the first Authorised Distribution Partner for its Microsoft Teams Direct Routing Service.

Giacom’s customers, one of the largest communities of Managed Services Providers and IT Businesses in the UK, have already supported tens of thousands of SMB businesses through the rapid adoption of Microsoft Teams throughout the remote working revolution. Microsoft Teams saw one of the biggest surges in usage over the pandemic, and is now being used by more than 75 million people each day.

Now they can take that support even further, with the introduction of Direct Routing from Gamma. The new solution is a cost-effective, highly featured alternative to Calling Plans for Microsoft 365, allowing customers to replace any existing phone system with Microsoft Teams for all inbound and outbound calls to landlines and mobiles.

Giacom’s customers will be able to benefit from reduced costs and operational complexity by deploying Gamma’s Direct Routing service, helping them to create a single fully cloud-based communication solution using Microsoft Teams and Business Voice, and unlocking the full potential of these services.

Mike Mills, Gamma’s Head of Cloud and Infrastructure comments: “It was clear from the very first engagement with Giacom that there were many similarities in our businesses and how we approach the channel, so enabling Giacom as our first distribution Partner sees benefits to both parties. Throughout the discussions what became clear was that our experience and market leading position in IP Voice, coupled with Giacom’s Cloud Market and Microsoft Teams capabilities, was going to be a winning combination.”

With an increase of businesses adopting a digital-first approach and making the transition to the Cloud, this partnership comes at a crucial time. Organisations need to be more agile than ever before, with the ability to adapt and meet demands, while still offering an optimised and seamless customer experience. With support from Giacom and Gamma’s solutions, IT service providers will be able to offer their end-user customers technology that delivers simple, consistent and cost-effective communication and collaboration, helping them to meet their need for flexibility and productivity.

Steve Law, CTO, Giacom, says: “The partnership with Gamma helps our customers find a suitable product which is cost-effective and straightforward to manage their communications. We’re excited to be Gamma’s first distribution partner, and with enhanced communication being more important than ever before, especially during these unprecedented times, we’re sure this solution will bring great value and benefits to our customers.

“Through Giacom, our partners can get the most out of their Direct Routing Service through our feature-rich version, meaning they can leverage enhanced features at the best price.”

Microsoft Teams Direct Routing Service will be available exclusively through Giacom.
