Tuesday, June 2, 2020

We’re offering Microsoft 365, backup and email security free for 6 months.

To show their support during this pandemic, Microsoft are offering two new promotions - 6 months free Office 365 E1 and 6 months free Microsoft 365 Business Basic, to new customers only*.

In our aim to help you help your customers, we’ve expanded this offer to the same licences within Microsoft 365 Secure** until 26th June. Meaning your customers can benefit from having Microsoft 365 with added backup from Acronis and email security from Vade Secure, at no extra cost for the same duration.

*New customer definition can be found within Microsoft’s FAQ. **Terms and conditions apply.

We’re always thinking of new ways to enable you to help your customers get the most out of value-added services, especially at a time like this when they need it most. It’s why we’ve expanded this promotion to a product that protects their business from both ends of the spectrum.

This promotion is only available for a limited time. To access this promotion, simply log in to cloud.market or call our team on 0333 332 0888 before 26th June.

See how easy it is to provision these promotions in our Knowledgebase article.

Cyber-crime is hardly out of the news these days and we know Microsoft 365 is an irresistible target for cybercriminals.

Bringing together best-in-class Office apps with powerful cloud services and device management makes Microsoft 365 a great choice for SMBs. However, its popularity also makes it an irresistible target for cybercriminals. Recently, cybercriminals have shifted their efforts to target SMBs that are unprepared, seeking out easy opportunities for huge financial gain.

Even Microsoft Teams has become a new target. With the recent lockdown, many businesses are starting to work remotely using Teams, and the increase in Teams users means that it’s become an attractive platform for cybercriminals to target. As discovered by researchers from Abnormal Security, cyber-attacks have been carried out through impersonating Teams notifications in order to steal Microsoft 365 logins.

With Microsoft 365 Secure, you can make sure your customers get a multi-layered approach to secure their data by defending your customers' Microsoft 365 mailbox against zero-day threats with Vade Secure, and automatically backing up mailbox data with Acronis 365 Mailbox Backup.

*Please note this video was created in 2019 when the product name was true to that time.

Remember, we also have sales and marketing materials to help you sell Office 365 Secure to your customers in our Academy. Show your customers the best way to protect their business, and email [email protected] to have these materials customised in your brand.

Going forward, the name of our Office 365 Secure product will change to Microsoft 365 Secure.

Microsoft changed the names of their Office 365 SMB offerings on April 21st 2020*. The changes refer to the SKU names only and all pricing and features remain the same. It's hoped that these changes will better reflect the features and benefits included in each SKU and make it easier for you and your customers to understand.

We’ll be making the same changes to our Office 365 services. So be mindful that if you are unable to locate Office 365 Secure in Cloud Market, it will have changed to Microsoft 365 Secure.

*For more details about the name changes read our guide.
